This single origin coffee is from the Banko Gotiti village in the Gedeb district of Ethiopia's Gedeo Zone, Yirgacheffee region. The coffee is grown at elevations between 1600-2300 meters above sea level by the Banko Gotiti cooperative, established in 2012 with approximately 300 members. It is processed using the natural method and features mixed heirloom varieties. The coffee is filter roasted and exhibits flavor notes of white florals, dried mango, blueberry, and black tea. The region is renowned for its complex flavor profiles and distinct blueberry notes, with coffee grown on small diversified family plots using naturally organic practices.

After more than eight years of preparation, Manta Ray Coffee Roasters opened their flagship roastery in Nunawading, Melbourne, in October 2022. The industrial chic space features a visible roasting area framed by large windows, inviting visitors into the process. Drawing on a background in film color grading, the team approaches roasting as a form of creative expression, seeking to reveal depth and character in every batch. Award winners at the 2019 Roasters Smackdown and 2023 ASCA competitions, they offer their signature Outsider Blend alongside rotating single origins and an automated pour over experience at the bar.
