This Costa Rican coffee is from the West Valley region at 1400-1900 meters altitude. Produced by Volcán Azul and the Castro-Kahle family, it features the Villasarchi variety, a natural mutation of Bourbon that originated in the town of Sarchi. Café Velvet
Ilse Geyskens, a Belgian living in Colombia, founded Café Velvet in 2014 out of a desire to create a bridge between European coffee culture and the exceptional beans grown at her doorstep in Colombia. Her vision was to establish a space where Colombians could enjoy their own high-quality coffee, prepared with the precision of Belgian standards. The roastery's approach focuses on carefully selected local beans, roasted to highlight their unique profiles for both local enjoyment and export.
