Colombia Las Pulgas - Fully Washed
OR Coffee RoastersAbout This Coffee
This coffee is from Las Pulgas farm in Planadas, Tolima region, located in the southern foothills of the Central Mountain Range of the Colombian Andes. The farm is owned by Iván Molano, who inherited it from his father. Las Pulgas is dedicated to environmental conservation, preserving natural reserves and water sources with strict prohibition of tree felling. The coffee is fully washed processed: only fully ripe cherries are selectively picked, sorted by density, kept in a tank for 24 hours, de-pulped, and fermented in tanks for 50 hours. After fermentation, beans are washed and dried on ventilated roofs for 17 to 22 days with regular turning. The coffee features tasting notes of dried fruit, blueberry, tearose, and Bahia orange, with a velvet body, sweet profile, and gentle acidity.

OR Coffee Roasters
OR Coffee Roasters was established in 2001 by Tom Janssen and Katrien Pauwels, making it one of the foundational specialty roasters in Belgium. What began in a small garage in Aalst grew into a respected name with spaces in Ghent and Brussels. Their core mission is built on direct trade, with roughly 95 percent of their coffee sourced through direct fair trade relationships with farmers. They travel to origin to select their coffees, ensuring quality and ethical practices, and their roasting style brings out the unique characteristics of each origin through both accessible blends and more adventurous single origin lots.
