Code Black Coffee RoastersAbout This Coffee
This single origin coffee is sourced from Mwito Washing Station in West Nyamasheke, Rwanda, near Lake Kivu at 1350 meters elevation. The coffee is Red Bourbon variety, processed using the natural method where red cherries are hand picked, briefly fermented in cherry, then dried whole on raised African beds under shade for 11-14 days. The washing station is owned by Rwanda Trading Company (RTC), which took over the station in 2017 and supports over 3,000 farming families in the region.
