About This Coffee

This Gesha variety coffee from Abu Coffee is a naturally processed bean grown in the Cañas Verdes region of Boquete, Panama, at 1550 meters above sea level. The plantation is located on the slopes of Volcán Barú National Park in volcanic, well-drained soils enriched with organic content. Abu Coffee is a young Geisha farm with six years of production, having participated in the Best of Panama Competition for six consecutive years with scores above 90.25 points. The coffee was harvested between January and March 2023. The cherries develop in a humid microclimate with tropical mist called "Bajareque," producing flavor notes of cranberry, plum, and kiwi with funky and fruity characteristics.

Seth Taylor Coffee

Seth Taylor put his own name on this Montreal micro roastery, establishing a personal, hands on approach that extends from direct relationships with producers to origin travel and intimate cuppings. Starting as a pop up before settling in Mile End, the operation remains deliberately small, with limited production runs that prioritize quality over volume. Roasting is done in small batches with light to medium profiles showcasing origins from Ethiopia, Colombia, Guatemala, Kenya, and El Salvador. The roastery primarily operates as a production facility rather than a bustling cafe, supplying select Montreal specialty cafes through a focused wholesale program. A subscription service with personalized selections reflects Seth's belief that coffee is best when it carries the personal touch of someone who genuinely cares about every step.
