This coffee comes from the Ndiaini factory in Nyeri, Kenya. It is a washed coffee featuring SL-28, SL-34, Ruiru-11, and Batian varieties. SL-28 and SL-34 were released by Scott Laboratories in the 1930s and are known for their high cup quality and deep root systems that enable them to thrive without irrigation. Batian and Ruiru-11 are resistant to coffee berry disease and leaf rust. The coffee is sweetness forward with strong notes of dark honey and blackcurrant with bright citric acidity.
