About This Coffee

This naturally processed coffee from Myanmar is grown in Hopong, Shan State at 1,714 meters altitude. The lot comes from producer Khun Sein Shwe and is imported by Pink Headed Duck. The coffee consists of Catuai and Caturra varieties. Extended drying time brings out fresh fruit notes of strawberries and guava, balanced by milk chocolate on the finish. The name Hti Kham translates to "liquid gold," named after the crystal-clear waters flowing through the village and surrounding Indigo Mountain.

Coffee Wallas

Launched in 2025 as a project by The Roasters Pack, Coffee Wallas is an Asian owned Toronto roastery dedicated to spotlighting specialty coffee from across Asia. The name roughly translates to "People of Coffee," capturing the mission to celebrate diverse Asian coffee profiles that are often underrepresented in the specialty world. Their lineup features origins from Vietnam, Myanmar, Laos, China, and Papua New Guinea, including innovative processing methods like pichia yeast fermentation and anaerobic naturals. Roasted in Toronto and shipped across Canada and the US, Coffee Wallas brings a fresh perspective to the conversation about where exceptional specialty coffee comes from.
