About This Coffee

This coffee is from the Los Tres Potros farm located in the Ahuachapán region of El Salvador, between the towns of Apaneca and Ataco, at an altitude ranging from 1,200 to 1,500 meters. Produced by Don Carlos and Hedardo Méndez, the coffee is a Pacamara variety known for its unusually large beans. It is naturally processed and grown under the shade of native trees in volcanic soils. The coffee features fresh hazelnut, red apple, red currant, and orange zest flavor notes with a solid body, sweet and floral cup, and a spicy aftertaste. This season's lot showcases sweet red fruit notes and pleasant citric acidity.

OR Coffee Roasters

OR Coffee Roasters was established in 2001 by Tom Janssen and Katrien Pauwels, making it one of the foundational specialty roasters in Belgium. What began in a small garage in Aalst grew into a respected name with spaces in Ghent and Brussels. Their core mission is built on direct trade, with roughly 95 percent of their coffee sourced through direct fair trade relationships with farmers. They travel to origin to select their coffees, ensuring quality and ethical practices, and their roasting style brings out the unique characteristics of each origin through both accessible blends and more adventurous single origin lots.
