Colombia Tumbaga ESP Decaf
Way Coffee RoastersAbout This Coffee
This Colombian decaf coffee is sourced through Sucafina Colombia's integrated supply chain. The Tumbaga Sugarcane Decaf uses high-quality coffee selected for high body, high sweetness, and low acidity. The coffee is decaffeinated using the ethyl acetate (EA) sugarcane process, where naturally occurring EA is used to extract caffeine while preserving flavor compounds. Sourcing follows harvest times, typically from Tolima or Cauca during summer months and from Antioquia or Eje Cafetero regions in winter. The profile features molasses, red apple, caramel, lemon, soft tobacco, and macadamia notes, delivering a balanced, chocolatey, and sweet cup.

Way Coffee Roasters
WAY Coffee Roasters was founded in Ghent in 2013 by Charlene De Buysere and Stoffel Vandenabeele, making them pioneers of the city's specialty coffee movement. Their roasting philosophy is centered on transparency and celebrating the bean's origin, which is why they prefer lighter roasts. This method allows the nuanced and delicate flavors developed at the farm level to truly shine through.
