This decaffeinated coffee originates from Huila, Colombia, a region located between the Central and Eastern ranges of the Andes in the Magdalena Valley. The coffee is grown at altitudes between 1400-2000 meters above sea level. The lot includes a blend of popular Colombian varieties: Castillo, Caturra, and Colombia, with Castillo and Colombia varieties developed by CENECAFE. The coffee undergoes washed processing, picked ripe and depulped the same day, then fermented in open-air tanks for 12-36 hours before being washed and dried. Flavor notes include brown sugar, vanilla, and peanut. Roasted for espresso.
