Brazil Espirito Santo | Marcos Tomazini Pulped Natural (Single Origin Filter)

Manta Ray Coffee Roasters

About This Coffee

This single origin coffee is from the Espirito Santo region of Brazil, specifically from the Bateia district in the Mountains of Espírito Santo. Grown at 900-1000 meters above sea level by generational coffee farmer Marcos Tomazini on a farm his father purchased 50 years ago. The coffee is a blend of Yellow and Red Catuai varieties processed using the pulped natural (honey) method. Cherries are harvested when 70% have matured, then floated, sorted, and depulped with a portion of mucilage left on during drying. The beans are dried under shelter in semi-open greenhouses with hourly rotation. The cup profile features intense sugarcane-like sweetness with notes of white nectarine and raisin.
