About This Coffee

This is a Brazilian coffee from the Red Catuai cultivar. It features the darkest roast level offered by the roaster, designed to express flavors of roasted sugar and dark chocolate. The roasting process involves a double roast technique to gain complexity, reaching the second crack quickly. This creates two types of roast - smoky and rich on the outside, with a chocolatey center. The coffee has no acidity with lots of intensity, featuring tasting notes of dark chocolate, cocoa, roasted sugar, and molasses. A soft bitterness is present, reminiscent of 80% dark chocolate. The coffee has a rich body and is roasted without oil, making it safe for automatic machines and grinders.
