This washed coffee is produced by smallholder farmers who are members of the Kawanziza Farmer's Group and deliver coffee to Buf Coffee company's Nyarusiza washing station in the Kamageri Sector of Nyamagabe District, Rwanda's Southern Province. Grown at 1800-2000 meters altitude, the coffee is the Red Bourbon variety. Quality control is overseen by station manager Celestine Uwizeyimana and Head of Quality Control Eugenie Kanakuze. The coffee features flavor notes of cranberries, maple syrup, and Chinese dried dates/jujubes. Filter roasted.

After more than eight years of preparation, Manta Ray Coffee Roasters opened their flagship roastery in Nunawading, Melbourne, in October 2022. The industrial chic space features a visible roasting area framed by large windows, inviting visitors into the process. Drawing on a background in film color grading, the team approaches roasting as a form of creative expression, seeking to reveal depth and character in every batch. Award winners at the 2019 Roasters Smackdown and 2023 ASCA competitions, they offer their signature Outsider Blend alongside rotating single origins and an automated pour over experience at the bar.
