This Kenyan Kangocho AA is a washed lot from Nieri grown at 1600–1800 m and composed of SL28, SL34, and Batian varieties. The cup shows a juicy burst of white grapefruit and a caramel-like crème brûlée sweetness, finishing with a hint of black pepper and developing red plum as it cools, highlighting bright acidity and a gentle richness.

Founded in 2020 in Sumida-ku by Machi Kodama and Sho Takanaka, ou·bai·tou·ri takes its name from a four-character Japanese idiom (桜梅桃李) meaning cherry blossom, plum, peach, and apricot, an expression that each should be valued for its own character. Kodama won the 2023 1st Crack Coffee Challenge roasting competition. The roastery focuses on light roasts with fruit-forward profiles, sourcing seasonal lots and emphasizing the inherent flavors of each origin.
