About This Coffee

This is a decaffeinated Brazilian Mogiana coffee processed using a water decaffeination method. The green beans are immersed in pure clear water from glaciers in the highest mountains of Mexico to extract caffeine. The water contains soluble components that hold the elements of flavor, allowing the beans to maintain their original components during caffeine extraction. The result is coffee that is 99.9% caffeine free. The coffee is certified Kosher for Passover.

French Press Coffee Roasters

Rob Chipman, originally from the UK, founded French Press Coffee Roasters in 2009 in Winnipeg's Osborne Village, making it one of Manitoba's first specialty roasters and a genuine pioneer of the third wave movement on the prairies. Named after the French press brewing method to represent accessible quality, the roastery works with a Probat in small batches, producing medium roast profiles that balance origin character with approachability. Beans are sourced from Central America, South America, Africa, and Indonesia, with single origins from Ethiopia, Guatemala, Colombia, Brazil, and Sumatra sitting alongside signature blends like the Osborne Blend. The team is education focused, training staff to explain coffee origins and brewing methods to every customer who walks in. Long standing relationships with green coffee importers ensure consistent quality across their wholesale program, which supplies cafes, restaurants, and offices across Manitoba.
