About This Coffee

This single origin Gesha coffee is from Cerro Azul farm in Caicedonia, Valle del Cauca, Colombia, at 1700-2000 meters elevation. The farm is owned by Rigoberto Herrera and his brother Luis as part of Café Granja La Esperanza, established a century ago. Cerro Azul exclusively produces Gesha varietals grown on an elevated foothill of the Colombian Western mountain range where cool Pacific air mixes with warm valley air, creating an ideal microclimate. Rich volcanic soils contribute to complexity. This honey processed coffee uses cherries selected by Brix measurements, pulped without water, and dried using patios and silos with varying layered formations. The cup profile features orange, white grape, black tea, and jasmine notes with an elegant character.
