Kenia Nyeri Igutha AB
Almanegra CaféAbout This Coffee
This is the AB grade selection from the Igutha wet mill in Nyeri, Kenya. The mill operates under the Rugi Farmers Cooperative Society, one of Kenya's oldest cooperatives founded in the late 1960s. Around 600 smallholder members deliver cherry to the mill. After depulping, the coffee undergoes up to 48 hours of fermentation before being dried on raised beds for 2–3 weeks. Grown at 1,825 masl, varieties include SL-28, SL-34, and Ruiru 11. The cup is bright and juicy with a syrupy body, featuring notes of raw sugar, Earl Grey, floral stone fruit, green grape, orange, and blueberry.
