Isla de Java Sunda Kawah Kamojang
Almanegra CaféAbout This Coffee
A washed coffee from smallholder producers in the Garut area of West Java (Java Sunda), Indonesia, grown on the slopes of Gunung Kamojang (Kawah Kamojang, meaning "crater" in Bahasa) and Gunung Mandalawangi. Sourced from communities southeast of Bandung at an altitude of 1,400–1,550 meters above sea level. The lot includes Typica, Ateng, and Jember varieties — among them original Typicas that arrived from Yemen via India some 400 years ago. The cup offers fragrant, clean flavors with dense muscovado sugar sweetness, black tea with honey, a hint of lemon, and a light presence of cacao.
