Colombia La Red de Ecolsierra BIO
Coffee PiratesAbout This Coffee
This is a 100% organic coffee produced by the La Red de Ecolsierra cooperative, located at the foot of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, one of the world's highest coastal mountain ranges with peaks reaching 5,700 meters. The coffee is grown in a mountainous belt between 900 and 1,900 meters above sea level with temperatures ranging from 13 to 30°C. The region was declared a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve and World Heritage Site in 1979 due to its rich biodiversity. Coffee is harvested from October to January, allowing for more even and richer bean maturation. The abundance of microclimates and soil types produces sensational cup profiles.

Coffee Pirates
Werner Savernik and Evelyn Priesch founded Coffee Pirates in 2012, establishing one of the first organic-certified third-wave roasteries in Vienna. Their philosophy is a fight against bad coffee, aiming to reintroduce the idea of roasting as a wonderful craft that highlights the unique flavors of different origins. They are deeply committed to building direct, long-term relationships with the farmers and cooperatives they source from.
