Onibus Coffee is a Japanese specialty coffee roastery and café brand founded in Tokyo in 2012 by Atsushi Sakao, who trained as a barista in Australia and was inspired to bring high-quality coffee culture back to Japan. The name Onibus reflects Sakao’s vision of coffee shops as community hubs that connect people, much like a bus connects places. Under his leadership, Onibus sources and roasts high-quality single-origin beans and blends with a focus on traceability, sustainability, and hospitable service.
