About This Coffee

This coffee is a Typica variety from the La Pacaya farm in Selguapa, Comayagua, Honduras, grown at an altitude of 1750 meters. It is processed using a washed anaerobic method, where cherries are fermented in sealed bags for 35 hours, depulped, and then undergo a second 35-hour fermentation before being dried on raised beds. This light roast coffee offers a flavor profile characterized by notes of ripe berries, rich cocoa, and floral undertones.

The Artery Community Roasters

The Artery Community Roasters is a social enterprise based in Ottawa, Ontario, employing people living with disabilities at living wages. They roast in small batches on a Coffee Crafters Artisan XL with a capacity of up to 10 pounds per roast, and ship within one week of roasting. Sourcing is done on a direct trade basis, maintaining one to two degrees of separation from the farmers. The Artery was named Coffee Roaster of the Month by Commonly Coffee.
