Carrabassett Coffee Company was founded on New Year's Eve 1995 by Tom Hildreth and Steve Skaling in Kingfield, Maine, named after the Carrabassett River that runs through the western Maine mountains. The roastery operates a Diedrich IR 12 and sources through direct relationships and specialty importers with a focus on Fair Trade and organic beans. The range leans toward medium to dark roast profiles popular in New England, with USDA Organic certified coffees available.
