About This Coffee

This coffee originates from the Tarrazú and Tres Ríos regions of Costa Rica, grown by various smallholders and processed at the Montano Micro-mill operated by Beneficio San Diego. The coffee is grown at altitudes between 1200-1750 meters above sea level. It features Caturra and Catuai varieties and undergoes a Thermal Shock Anaerobic Honey processing method. The coffee is harvested between January and March. Tarrazú is Costa Rica's most famous coffee region, awarded Denomination of Origin status in 2019, known for fine acidity and full body. The coffee is grown in red clay soil with humid climate and tropical temperatures averaging 24°C.
