Arkib Kopi

About This Coffee

This washed coffee is grown by smallholder farmers in Nyamasheke District, Western Rwanda, near Nyungwe National Park. Processed at the Nyungwe Washing Station by Rwanda Trading Company using Rwanda's classic fully washed method. The coffee exhibits chamomile fragrance, Meyer lemon brightness, and red peach notes with cranberry undertones at lower temperatures. Clean, composed cup with lively yet refined acidity balanced by harmony rather than intensity. Medium-high body with syrupy, rounded character.

Arkib Kopi

Arkib Kopi was founded in 2018 by Helmi, a certified Q grader whose training in Japan shaped both his palate and his approach to presentation. The roastery operates from its "Ibu Sawat" (Mothership) facility in Kuala Lumpur, housing a custom 1kg machine alongside a 15kg Cogen roaster for production batches. Sourcing follows a dual model: direct trade with producers to secure top lots and a sustainable partnership with Falcon Coffee Trader that prioritizes social and environmental impact. The lineup is organized into three collections, FANSI for omni roast, RUTIN for filter, and MANIS for espresso, each highlighting seasonal origins from Rwanda, Panama, Indonesia, and Brazil. Arkib also runs weekend public cupping sessions at its flagship, reinforcing its role as a community hub for specialty coffee education in Malaysia.
