Victus Coffee

Victus Coffee was founded in 2015 by Jose Rene Martinez as a social enterprise rooted in the specialty coffee expertise he developed through J.Rene Coffee Roasters, a roasting operation he established in Connecticut in 2006. Martinez travels to origin to source specialty grade beans from East Africa and Central and South America, building direct relationships with individual farms. The coffees are roasted in small batches across three flagship blends spanning light to dark profiles, alongside rotating single origin offerings. Every bag sold channels two dollars to partner organizations focused on food equity, cycling advocacy, and community development. The parent operation, J.Rene Coffee Roasters, earned the 2019 Connecticut Small Business Administration Minority Owned Business of the Year award.
