This Kenyan single origin coffee comes from the Kigwandi factory in Mukaro, Nyeri, operated by the Mutheka Farmers Cooperative Society. Composed of SL28 and SL34 varieties grown at 1600 meters altitude by smallholder farmers averaging 207 coffee trees. The coffee undergoes a distinctive Kenya Washed double fermentation process: 48 hours of fermentation in tanks followed by 24 hours of soaking, then dried on raised beds for 2-3 weeks. Displays a complex flavor profile with bright cranberry and sour plum opening notes, layered with hibiscus tea, hawthorn, orange peel, and blackcurrant with a smooth, full-bodied mouthfeel.
