This washed coffee is produced at the Chelbesa One Washing Station in the Gedeb Zone, Ethiopia. Approximately 1,000 farmers deliver cherry from the surrounding region, farming between 2-3 hectares at elevations of 1,950-2,200 meters above sea level. The lot consists of Ethiopian Heirloom varieties Kurume and Wolisho. Cherries are sorted in water, de-pulped, and dry fermented in tanks for 2-3 days before being washed and dried on raised beds for 7-10 days. The washing station is managed by SNAP Specialty Coffee.
