About This Coffee

This coffee originates from Finca La Guaca in Maraca, Pitalito, Huila, Colombia, at altitudes above 1650 meters. It is produced by José Hernán Salazar Benavides who discovered the Aji variety on this farm. Aji is a rare Ethiopian-derived landrace variety known for its distinctive aromatics and elegance, earning 6th place at the Colombia Cup of Excellence. The coffee is naturally processed and was picked in August 2025, arriving in January 2026. The Huila region is renowned for producing internationally respected micro-lot coffees with vibrant acidity and complex profiles.
