This coffee is a Brazilian single-origin bean that offers a unique profile beyond the classic cocoa and hazelnut notes. It features a subtle orange acidity complemented by sweet, ripe tropical fruit notes like guava and papaya, resulting from a 48-hour anaerobic fermentation process. After fermentation, the coffee is dried on patios for 15-20 days. This coffee provides a complex and sweet cup, distinct from traditional Brazilian profiles.
Drip Roasters is a Bern-based specialty coffee roastery run by brothers Dennys and Fabian. They'd been roasting for two years before opening their café on Eigerplatz in 2020. All their coffees are single origins. The lineup is balanced, from beans that are roasted a shade darker for broader appeal, to special lots that sit on the lighter end. The selection shifts depending on the season, and especially after origin visits, but is always fully traceable.
